What I came up with was “The best mysteries to tickle your funny bone.” My choices were: Jonathan Lethem’s Gun with Occasional Music; M. C. Beaton’s The Quiche of Death; Lawrence Sanders’s McNally’s Secret; Carl Hiaasen’s Native Tongue; and Jasper Fforde’s The Eyre Affair.
